* The 2.0 Round Robins are not being held right now. They are expected to resume in the Fall. If you would like to schedule a 2.0 round robin before then, please contact Susan Barr, (719) 339-0859. Please keep in mind that there need to be a minimum of 4 players to hold a round robin.

** Contact the appropriate coordinator to be invited to join the group

The Pikes Peak Pickleball Alliance offers our Round Robins throughout the year when weather conditions and court availability permit. All of the RRs use the app TeamReach to create and maintain the groups and round robins.  You will need to download the TeamReach app onto your mobile device. Carefully choose the level of play that matches your ability level. The RR coordinators are also available to guide you in this decision.  Please contact the coordinator for the group corresponding to your level of play to be added to their group. They will send you a code to join the group. This must happen before you can sign up for an RR.   Once you have downloaded and set up the TeamReach app and you are actively enrolled in the group, you can just sign up weekly to play.

**We recommend using the free version of TeamReachYou never need to give the app a credit card for anything: not to create a membership, not to activate a membership, not to sign up for a group, and definitely not to register to play in any round robin, guided play or beginner lessons!

The free version of TR is funded by google advertisements which will occasionally pop up on your screen. Do not click on them. If, at any point, it appears that TR is asking for a credit card, back out of the session or cancel it as you currently do with every other app's pop up ads. The only way to get rid of them is to buy the premium edition of TR which can be purchased at the apple store or google play.

General guidelines to participate in the Alliance Round Robins:

  • You must be a current Pikes Peak Pickleball Alliance member.
  • You may only be a member of one RR group at a time.
  • You must be a member of the group you wish to play in.
  • You can only reserve a position one week in advance.
  • You can play in only one RR per week.
  • You are expected to stay for all scheduled games.
  • You must wear your Alliance nametag (once you have received it in the mail) to check in for every RR.
  • You may split your position with another player ONLY IF
    • they are a member of the Alliance.
    • they are a member of the group you are playing in,
    • they are not playing in another round robin the same week, and
    • you have received prior approval from your RR Coordinator.
    • you need to provide your coordinator with the name of the player you are sharing a spot with - only you can sign up and edit your RR entry on TeamReach.

Participating in the RR:

  • Check TeamReach before leaving for the Round Robin. Cancellations will be announced there.
  • Please arrive at your court 15 minutes early, sign in and warm up.
  • Make note of your number as this will be your position for the round robin.
  • Plan to stay and participate in all scheduled games.
  • If you do not cancel your position and do not attend, you will not be eligible to play the following week.
  • Bring your paddle and wear appropriate court shoes.
  • Be courteous to your fellow players and the volunteers who are making the Alliance activities possible.
  • Return the courts in at least as good of a condition as you found them.
  • Have fun!

General guidelines for the cancellation of all Alliance programs:

In the interest of player safety, programs will be canceled if:

  • The temperature factoring in wind chill is forecast to be 45 degrees or lower.
  • The temperature including the heat index is forecast to be 90 degrees or higher.
  • The wind speed is forecast to be in excess of 20 miles per hour.
  • Thunderstorms are approaching the area.
  • Ice, snow, or water is on the courts.
  • Fewer than 8 participants sign up.
  • The coordinator identifies any situation that causes them to believe it is unsafe to continue to host the program.
  • Courts are unavailable due to tournaments or other scheduled activity.

Please keep in mind that the top priority of our volunteer coordinators is your safety. If you choose to play after the coordinator has canceled the program, you do so at your own risk. PPPAlliance bears no liability if you continue to play. Thank you.

There are plans to expand the RR's during the year to include a "Dinking RR" and a "Mixed Doubles" RR.  We are also actively attempting to expand to additional Pickleball Court locations.  If you have questions or other ideas / suggestions or if you would like to become an RR volunteer, please contact Sherry Fairchild at trainingrr@pppall.net
